Here is the third sandcastle building event! It was a very very COLD and windy day at the beach. Myself and three other friends gathered in this freeze-your-ears-off weather to conquer the sand! All was going well until we got attacked by a huge wave that destroyed our double defenses. (read the rest to see more photos!)

We all screamed like helium voice people and scrambled for our cameras before the tides returned to make another effort to take down our single tower. There were two people taking photos, while the other two saved flip flops, tools, and proceeded to quickly build a wall of defense. The waves got really high and I was amazed that the waves were not coming and destroying the castle faster. There were a few surfers out riding those crazy waves and it was pretty cool. Though I wondered if they were freezing in their wet suits…

The experience building the sandcastle was pretty cool. We found fine sand as we dug deeper into the ground! Usually there’s alot of broken up shells in the sand so it could get pretty dangerous. Hopefully next Sunday we can dig deep and use the fine sand to build our next castle. I was too scared to carve the cylinder tower we had built so Vance did most of the work sculpting the castle.
