Head Drawing Qtr 2 - Class 1

Qrt 2 - Portrait class 1My second quarter has begun in Watts Atelier of the Arts and I am quiet excited to be back in school. During the break I was being a slacker and hadn’t drawn much…. So the first head drawing class made me a bit nervous. I just reminded myself to be calm, take it slow, and observe the subject as much as possible. Additionally, I had my ipod which I take with me almost everywhere I go now. ;) Am I trying to advertise the ipod nano? Haha, no no. I’m just sharing my realization on how I become more focused in drawing classes when I just let one of my brain be distracted with music. It is something a physics teach taught the class when I used to go to L.C.H.S. (Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School). This school was in the city of Lincoln in England. This school was not a hardcore Christian school, though it used to be a hospital during the world wars. Anyway, I went off topic again it seems. ^^;;

Hopefully, over the 10 week course, I will be able to see a gradual improvement on my portraits. I would really like to become improve the speed I sketch at in addition to being able to capture the likeliness of the person I am drawing.

p.s. - I’m changing the title of my images from “portrait” to “Head Drawing” since the class I’m taking is actually called “Head Drawing.” Sorry if there’s any confusion. >,>;;
