This is the fifth class and also the second consecutive day that I’ve gone to class! Exciting, dramatic, and romantic! <~~not really... I got to class right before the sky started to fall. Seriously, it was pouring outside! D: AND battled hungry mosquitoes once I got to the building where the pottery class is held.
I was worried that the class was going to be full with students, but lucky for me it was empty. Found a fairly bright and comfortable spot and was just told to “paint.” . . . uh… “Just paint the plates as if you’re using watercolor.” wah? Watercolor? oO;; It has been centuries since I’ve actually played with my watercolors or colored in general… >,>;; oy… Plus I was concerned if the colors got lighter or darker or more vibrant after the plates got “baked,” but whenever I asked I would get the same answer, “It’s going to look like the way you color it.” If that is the case, then my plates will retain the same colors as my photos. Without trying to worry about the colors I just picked up the brush and started to paint each plate (13 out of 16 were brought to class). Just had to remind myself this should be “fun and relaxing.” It was interesting watching the unpredictable color patterns that showed up on the plates. Depending on the stroke you’d get different results. Fingers crossed for the plates to come out well. > , <
