Mario Themed Plates? Tiles?

Following za leaderI had about 3 blank experimental plates that had to get painted. So for two of them I decided to go with a Mario theme. One being a Paper Mario theme. Updated! With new pics!

I found this difficult since I wasn’t sure how I was going to sketch and paint under the bended parts. So as you can see I just went with a “centered” image. I wish I had a Gamecube or a Wii here… Then I could be “studying” the game to get more dynamic images on these plates/tiles. *wink wink* I think this will be the last day I go to class, but I’m not sure. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been in Korea for almost a month. Enjoy the eye candy. :)

Update: I just got back from painting the above images. Unfortunately, coloring isn’t as easy as just sketching… Since the paints are so unpredictable… The pencil marks will burn off, but they got mixed in with the paint while coloring. So! not sure how it’s going to look after it gets baked! >,<;; *fingers Crossed* Trying to draw fine lines is uber difficult with a thin brush without getting shaky lines. ><;;

Mario colored...Uh oh... I think he's about to...
This are the other things I colored while I was in class. :) I can’t wait to see the end results! >__<

    Anon’s right… they do kinda look like onions when you look at the thumbnail.

    But yeah those are cool — you should Digg it when they comeout of the kiln :)

    Ah thanks for the comments!! Hopefully they don’t look like onions now that they are colored. Ah and maybe I’ll submit it to 8-bit or Digg it. But not sure if my coloring has made something cool to something uncool…. >,<;;
