The rules:

1. Have the correct number of index cards for the number of players in the game. (example – if there’s 5 people playing you’d have 5 index cards, or tear the standard letter paper to 5 pieces)
2. Everyone draws (whatever) on their first index card. *There’s a time limit
3. Pass it on clock wise or counter clockwise
4. When you get the card from the person next to you, you get a limited amount of time to describe what you see on the next index card.
5. Pass it on (to the direction that the cards are moving in *duh*)
6. Read what the person has described and then attempt to draw what they have written
7. Repeat process until you get your own image back.
8. Hilarity ensues.

This code instigated a frantic six hour search for the slick but not cheap looking sexy black dress (from the sales section). In addition to the sexy black heels to go with the dress, well… not really heels since they weren’t even 3 inches high. Regardless, they were high enough for me. But yes, six hours…. I just happened to realize (on the day of) that I had no appropriate outfit for the club that I was going to called On Broadway for a friend’s birthday. When I inquired about the dress code over a aim conversation the response was:

B-day Girl: Dress code: no flip flops tshirts or cargo pants. We’re on the VIP list! Its high class baby!
Me: … o__o;

So I might have had thoughts to wear the cargo pants and possibly the flip-flops. Actually, this was exactly what I was going to wear to go clubbing that night. *doh* Fortunately, my wardrobe gained a level with the dress-code-friendly outfit and all was well. There was also the realm of make-up, but not going to go into that. =_=;

The Nightclub was pretty swank with 5 unique “rooms of music” to dance in. There was the main dance floor “15,000 square feet 100,000 watts of booming sound, & 20,000 watts of intelligent lighting” (according to flyer), Karma Lounge (hip hop), Ultra Lounge (80′s), Gallery Bar (R&B), and The Vault. It totally shattered the shady/sketchy image that I had meticulously formed in my imagination of what the interior of a nightclub would look like. Yes. I was quiet impressed. After exploring all the rooms and having some sex on the beach, a 4 hour long epic dancing/fun followed.

Overall it was an excellent experience – other than uh… the “interesting” encounters, but those encounters are most likely inevitable in any club setting. My feet were killing me by the end of the night. I have a new found respect for girls who can dance well in high heels. Until the next time I go clubbing, I’ll practice walking in my heels. Hopefully, the next time I go I’ll have a date! >_< b

Here is some interesting history of the building.

Each weekend we come to build the sandcastles, it becomes easier to do the set up (such as the base of the castle). This time we took the approach where we built a mesa like a big Cost-Co birthday cake, such that the base was a large rectangle. From there we stacked the main tower in the center and then added towers on the corners. One of our builders got a bit greedy on making the center tower tall, so it would end up collapsing often. ^^;; Poor dude, but he persevered and was able to complete the tower. Then I started to work on the poo tower in the corner. :p

I was attempting to make a bridge from my tower to the main tower. Unfortunately I was trying to do a multi-layer arch which gravity decided it didn’t like… So the bridge fell down… >.<;; Then I just focused on making the walls of my tower look nice. Attempting to make it look like stacked stones. After that I made a big entrance way to the castle that lead to some unknown place >,>; We had a lovely dribble tower in the corner… but the waves came in and took it down so that the tower looked like it had been attacked with massive fire balls. It looked like a melted candle It was cool how Vance made the stairs this time by using similarly colored rocks to make the steps. He made a very clean tower as well. ::nod nod:: Soon we’ll be able to make some awesomer looking sandcastles! Enjoy the photos!

The experience building the sandcastle was pretty cool. We found fine sand as we dug deeper into the ground! Usually there’s alot of broken up shells in the sand so it could get pretty dangerous. Hopefully next Sunday we can dig deep and use the fine sand to build our next castle. I was too scared to carve the cylinder tower we had built so Vance did most of the work sculpting the castle. Maybe next week… >,> Overall it was a crazy fun experience at the beach! Enjoy the photos!

watching a youtube video of an amazing sand sculptor “Sandy feet” we were inspired to go make an insane sandcastle! Or build a sandcastle with arches and stair steps and cooler looking towers!!

As we dug around to find a spot away from what looked like the sewer drain, our shovels kept bumping into lots of shells and rocks that were buried in the sand. So we kept digging around until we settled on a spot and decided to just deal with the rockyness of the sand. To make sure that the sand was always wet, one person would go and get water from the ocean and pour it into the ditch we dug. Which was located close to our construction zone. Since we were trying out the new techniques that we picked up from various sources, we scaled down our construction so we could try them out and see how they would go. As we worked hard at our construction the two guys started to build defenses for the castle and attempt at building a large tower in front of our tiny castle. The tower construction was going well,until they got too greedy trying to make it massive. The tower ended up crumbling down. ^^;; Anyway, enjoy the photos and sorry about the quality again! Must remember the camera for the next event! I will remember for the next one! >,<;

Anyway, we really didn’t have a clue what we were doing. Just brought some metal gardening shovels and a plastic trash can which I bought from IKEA and a large rice bucket. Our initial attempts to build a tower turned out disasterous! Either we didn’t pack the sand enough or we packed it so much that the sand did not come out! We were using super wet sand (later on we found out this is a good thing). While we continued to challenge the sand the large rice bucket’s handle broke off! It was truely a “@#$%$” moment. The guys worked their hawt nerd muscles (if they had any…… jk jk! o_o; ) and continued the process of : Dig sand, pack sand into bucket, flip bucket over, smack it like a drum, hope that sand is formed and falling out of the bucket, and repeat. Since there was not much room for a third person for this ritual I just decided to make a giant crab that would attack the tower. The crab was made but the poor dude got attacked by one of the builders. *rolls eyes* It was a really fun day! Pretty cold and windy, but still a lot of fun! Afterwards we went to grab some pho!
