Went to my 6th class after coming back from Matsuyama Japan. Was given my first pot/pencil holder when I got to class and was told to draw a mosaic pattern on it. … I didn’t particularly want a pot that had a flower and a mosaic theme. I had seen similar themes on other people’s pots and I assumed my teacher had told them to do the same theme for those pots.

This is the fifth class and also the second consecutive day that I’ve gone to class! Exciting, dramatic, and romantic! <~~not really... I got to class right before the sky started to fall. Today was the third day of the pottery class and instead of completing my second pencil holder/pot, the teacher brought a decently sized pillar of clay and said, “this should make plenty of plates.” It was a lot of clay… and I can definitely say, that today was intense and laborious

Today was the second class. W00t! buuut, unfortunately my instructor wanted me to make the same pot as the first class with thinner walls. NANI?! ::Sob:: I worked on my second pencil holder/ pot??? Unfortunately for me, the walls being thinner, I had my pot getting bent in weird oblong shapes. ::Cry::
This is the chronicle of what I make in my pottery class, while in Korea. I will release my progress every class I go to (hopefully). I plan on going four days a week. So we’ll see if we can see any improvement in skillz within a month.
